The training of trainers programme was developed to address the capacity building of the youth workers who will involve in the implementation of the local photo walk and visual storytelling trainings. The aim was to develop a common understanding and provide guidelines for the youth workers within the involved organizations for creating a common program to be implemented asynchronously in the participating countries.

The training programme was consisted of series of methods to address the aims and objectives of the training of trainers activity. Prior to the training of trainers activity, we have developed 20 methods to address the program and used 14 of these methods. In this chapter, you will find the training schedule that we have implemented to guide you as well as the variation of several methods that you can use to tailor the needs of your own groups. Some of the methods have been previously used in inclusion trainings were adopted to address the challenges within the activity.

The above methods were developed to address the capacity building of the youth workers to implement the local activities in their home countries. The methods have been tried out and revised during the implementation of the training activity in Giresun, Turkey between 19-24 September 2023.

The training activity helped us to develop the framework of the local events and the idea of the local activities in relation with the implementation of the overall project while providing a roadmap to the youth workers to implement local photo walk and visual storytelling workshops.  The training report has been provided in the end of the method explanations to give an information about the result of the activity. In addition to that, for the evaluation purposes, we have used the following evaluation tools to understand the skill development of the participants and the satisfaction towards the evaluation of the overall activity.

  • Daily Evaluations
  • Expectations of the training of participants
  • Online Evaluation
  • Feedback on the Tools developed within the project

As a result of the training, we have developed 4 separate local Photo Walk and visual storytelling workshop plans. The details of the workshops has been explained above.
